NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information. How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System (With Navigation)
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.
2. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)
3. Check the System Links.
Is the Aircon icon red?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
5. Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector D (20P).
6. Connect audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 5, and No. 14 with a jumper wire.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
8. Press and hold the AUTO button, then press and hold the FAN ON/OFF button.
Are both HEAT/VENT indicators solid with the remaining icons blinking?
YES - Replace the audio-navigation unit. Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation)
NO - Go to step 9.
9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then disconnect the jumper wire.
10. Disconnect climate control unit connector C (20P).
11. Connect climate control unit connector C (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 with a jumper wire.
12. Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 14, and between terminals No. 5 and No. 14.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 13.
NO - Repair open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.
13. Disconnect the jumper wire.
14. Check for continuity between body ground and audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 5, and No. 14 individually.
Are there continuity?
YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.
NO - Go to step 15.
15. Check for continuity between the terminals of navigation unit connector D (20P) according to the table.
Is there continuity?
YES - Repair short in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.
NO - Go to step 16.
16. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
17. Measure the voltage between body ground and audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 5, and No. 14 individually.
Is the voltage above 0.2 V?
YES - Repair short to power in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.
NO - Replace the climate control unit. Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation
