Control module general sound player

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Removal and Installation

Preparatory work





Caution! Ensure that there is not a disc in the device.

Caution! Ensure that the discs are removed one at a time in order of sequence. Start with disc 6, followed by disc 5.





Move the gear selector to its rearmost position.
Detach the panel at the gear selector lever as illustrated and move it to one side.






Remove:
- the rear cover
- the bolts, x6
- the top of the tunnel compartment.






Caution! Angle the infotainment / dashboard environment panel to one side. Do not disconnect the connectors.

Remove the screws from the bracket.
Angle out the infotainment / dashboard environment panel as illustrated.





Place the gear selector in position P.
Ignition off
Disconnect the connectors.





Remove the infotainment unit screws.
Release the clips and remove the infotainment unit from the bracket.

Removing the control module




Remove the screws.
Remove the control module.

Installing the control module

Note! For tightening torques, see Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.





Install the control module.
Install the screws.

Finishing work




Press the infotainment unit into place on the bracket.
Install the screws. Tighten.
Connect the connectors.

Note! The control module connectors are identical and can be shifted. Make sure that there is no dirt in the optic contacts. The optic cables must not have a bend radius below 25 mm.

Angle in the infotainment / dashboard environment panel and bracket.

Hint: Align the upper section and press it upwards so that the lower section can be worked in.


Install:
- 2 screws in the lower edge of the bracket
- the top of the tunnel compartment
- the bolts, x6
- the rear cover
- the panel at the gear selector lever.
