Outer timing cover gasket

Removal

Remove the auxiliaries brackets. Refer to: Auxiliary brackets, B6324S5 Auxiliary Brackets.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding Service and Repair.

Remove the gasket and replace with a new one.





Remove and scrap the intermediate shaft seal.

Installation





Use the tool and 3 screws in the indicated spot to guide the cover and gasket in the right position.
999 7266 Position sensor 999 7266 Position sensor and 999 7267 Position sensor 999 7267 Position sensor.





Insert all screws - 20 M7 screws and 2 M8 screws. Do not tighten.

Tighten the screws in the order illustrated.

Install the following items:
- M6. Refer to: Tightening torque, B6324S5 Tightening Torque
- M7. Refer to: Tightening torque, B6324S5 Tightening Torque
- M8. Refer to: Tightening torque, B6324S5 Tightening Torque

Install the drive wheel and new seal. Refer to: Intermediate shaft gasket, auxiliaries side, B6324S5 Intermediate Shaft Gasket, Auxiliaries Side.

Install the auxiliaries brackets. Refer to: Auxiliary brackets, B6324S5 Auxiliary Brackets.

Charge the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding Service and Repair.
