Removal and Replacement

Sill trim panel, replacing

As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Sill trim panel front side door

Removing the sill trim panel from the front side door




Pull the sill trim panel straight up.
Pull out the sill trim panel at the front and rear edges.

Installing the sill trim panel for the front side door
Insert the sill trim panel at the rear edge.
Press the sill trim panel into place at the front edge.
Press the sill trim panel straight down.

Removing the sill trim panel from the rear side door




Remove the end mounting. See End mounting, replacing End Mounting, Replacing.
Pull up the sill trim panel at the rear edge.
Angle the sill trim panel out from the B post panel.

Installing the sill trim panel for the rear side door
Insert the front edge of the sill trim panel into the B post panel.
Press the sill trim panel into place.
Install the end mounting. See End mounting, replacing End Mounting, Replacing.

Cover

Removing the cover from the lower edge of the B post





Remove:
- the front sill trim panel. See Removing the sill trim panel from the front side door
- the rear sill trim panel. See Removing the sill trim panel from the rear side door
- the cover.

Installing the cover at the lower edge of the B post





Install:
- the cover at the bottom edge of the B post
- the front sill trim panel. See Installing the sill trim panel for the front side door
- the rear sill trim panel. See Installing the sill trim panel for the rear side door.
