Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair






Hydraulic unit brake system

Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove reservoir brake fluid Refer to: Reservoir, brake fluid, B6304T4, L.H.D, B6324S5, L.H.D, B6324S4, L.H.D Service and Repair

Remove battery Refer to: Battery Removal and Replacement




Torque: M6, 10 Nm





Remove the following items:
1. Torque: M6, 10 Nm

2. Torque: M8, 24 Nm





Caution! Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

Note! Note the position of each component before removal.

Remove the following items:
1. Torque: Ø6 mm diameter brake line, 14 Nm

2. Torque: Ø8 mm diameter brake line, 18 Nm





Caution! Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

Torque: Ø8 mm diameter brake line, 18 Nm




Torque: M6, 10 Nm




Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Installation

Caution! If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new module.

Caution! The blanking caps/plugs must not be removed until the brake tubes are ready to be connected.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill reservoir brake fluid Refer to: Reservoir, brake fluid, B6304T4, L.H.D, B6324S5, L.H.D, B6324S4, L.H.D Service and Repair

Perform bleeding air brake system Refer to: Brake system bleeding Service and Repair

Order and download appropriate software Programming and Relearning

Calibrate according to: Calibrating

Perform test drive schedule (DSTC/BCM), description
