Compass: Service and Repair
Compass Calibration
Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
Note! In some cases the compass may need to be calibrated. For example it always needs to be calibrated if the rear view mirror has been replaced or C appears in the display.
Look for a large, open area that is free of traffic, for example a car park or industrial site.
Ignition on.
Press in the button (1) until C is shown in the display (6-9 seconds).
Setting the geographical area
Press in the button (1) for between 3-6 seconds. The figure for the set range (1-15) is then displayed.
Press the button repeatedly until the number (1-15) for the relevant geographical area is displayed. Wait until the display shows C again.

Adjustments for left or right-hand drive vehicles
Specify if the car is left-hand drive or right-hand drive by pressing in button 1 for at least 9 seconds and then select left (L) or right (R). The display then shows C again.
Calibrating the compass
Then drive slowly (below 10 km/h) in a circle until the compass direction is shown in the display (2-3 turns). The calibration is now complete.
