Preparatory work

Ignition off




Ignition off.

Removal

Removing wiper arm

Remove:
- the cover
- loosen the nut a few turns. Use: 998 7693 UNIVERSAL SEPARATOR B75 MM L80 MM 998 7693 Universal Separator B75 mm L80 mm
- the nut
- the wiper arm.

Removing the tailgate panel
Remove the tailgate panel. See: Tailgate/trunk lid panel Service and Repair.

Removing the motor, tailgate wiper





Remove:
- the connector
- the 3 M6 screws
- the wiper motor.

Installation

Installing the motor, tailgate wiper

Install:
- the wiper motor
- the 3 M6 screws
- the connector.

Installing the tailgate panel
Install the tailgate panel. See: Tailgate/trunk lid panel Service and Repair.

Installing the wiper arm
Set the motor to the parking position.
Switch on the ignition. Switch the wipers on and off. When the motor is in its parking position, switch off the ignition.





Install:
- the wiper arm
- the nut. Adjust the wiper arm to the correct position. See the illustration. Tighten the nut. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.

Test the function.
