Wheel hub front, checking






Removal

Remove the brake disc. Front Brake Disc

Fit the bracket that is part of the measuring equipment. Use M12x40 wing screws and M12 nuts from the kit.




Fit the dial indicator in the bracket. Position the dial indicator's tip toward the hub flange.
Slowly rotate the hub. The maximum lateral runout of the hub should not exceed 0.014 mm.
If lateral runout exceeds 0.014 mm, replace the wheel bearing. Refer to: Wheel bearing front Wheel Bearing Front.
To ensure that the max. value together with the brake disc is not exceeded, check the lateral runout of the brake disc. Refer to: Brake disc front, checking Brake Disc Front, Checking

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure
