Engine, installing

Installation




Raise the vehicle so that the engine / transmission unit are free beneath the vehicle. Place the engine and transmission on the lifting table. Lower the lifting table to its lowest position.
Lower the vehicle over the engine/transmission unit, being sure to fit the unit between the frame members. Stop lowering the vehicle just before the engine/transmission unit is in position. Raise the engine/transmission unit.

Install the following items:
- right-hand engine mounting. Refer to: Engine support insulator, right, B6304T2 Engine Support Insulator, Right
- left-hand engine mounting. Refer to: Engine support insulator left, B6304T2 Engine Support Insulator Left




















Torque: M8, 24 Nm




















Torque: M6, 10 Nm




Torque: M6, 10 Nm












Torque: M6, 10 Nm









Install the following items:
- right drive shaft.
- left driveshaft.
- the subframe.
- the exhaust manifold. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, B6304T2 Service and Repair
- engine control module (ECM). Refer to: Engine control module (ECM), B6304T2 Engine Control Module (ECM)
- servo pump. Refer to: Power steering pump, B6304T2 Service and Repair

Final check
Fill with coolant. Refer to: Service and Repair

Fill engine oil. Refer to: Lubricants, engine [1][2]Capacity Specifications

Top up power steering fluid.

Start the engine. Warm up the engine until the thermostat opens. Check for leaks. Check the oil and fluid levels. Adjust if necessary. Check the fluid level in the gearbox (automatic only). Top up if necessary.
