Transmission, installing

Installation





Install the following items:
- Bracket. Torque: M8, 24 Nm

- starter motor. Refer to: Starter motor, B8444S Service and Repair.




Check and clean the transaxle. Refer to: Transmission, preparations before installing, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD Transmission, Preparations Before Installing

Caution! Make sure that the transaxle is installed straight in relation to the engine to prevent damage to the pilot bearing.

Adjust for height and incline using a transmission jack and transaxle fixture. Align the transaxle with the engine.




Torque: M10, 50 Nm

Remove the fixture.




Torque: M10, 50 Nm

Raise the engine/transaxle to the horizontal position.




Torque: M6, 10 Nm




Torque: Torque converter to flexplate (screw), 60 Nm




Turn the next screw forward.




Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Install the bevel gear. Refer to: Bevel gear, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD Bevel Gear.




Torque: M10, 50 Nm




Torque: Starter motor B+ terminal, 15 Nm




Torque: M6, 10 Nm





Install the following items:
- the right hand exhaust pipe. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, right-hand, B8444S Exhaust Manifold, Right-Hand
- the left hand exhaust pipe. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, left-hand, B8444S Exhaust Manifold, Left-Hand
- the left drive shaft. Refer to: Driveshaft left, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD, B6304T2, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC Driveshaft Left
- the battery. Refer to: Battery Removal and Replacement
- the air cleaner housing. Refer to: Air cleaner housing, B8444S Service and Repair.
