Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. Battery Disconnecting

Information about the handling and storage of pyrotechnic SRS components. Refer to: Handling non-deployed pyrotechnical part Handling Non-Deployed Pyrotechnical Part.

Warning! Do not use measuring equipment on the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electrical connector.

Warning! A pyrotechnical SRS component must never be unscrewed, repaired or transferred to another vehicle.

Remove the parcel shelf. Refer to: Parcel shelf Service and Repair.




Remove the electrical connector.
Torque: Safety belt retractor rear to body, 40 Nm

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the safety belt function. Refer to: Seat belt function, check Testing and Inspection.

Carry out an inspection. Refer to: Supplementary restraint system (SRS), inspection Testing and Inspection.
