Description Of Frozen Values, ECM

Description of frozen values

Explanation
Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.
Not all parameters can be read out for all diagnostic trouble codes. The parameter values can only be read if they can provide additional information on the prevailing conditions when the code was generated.

Global time (min)
The value indicates the time since power was supplied to the central electronic module (CEM) for the first time.

Distance (km)
Measurement range: 0-16,777,215 km
The value indicates the vehicle's total mileage when the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) was generated.

MECU power supply (V)
Measurement range: 0-63 V
Normal range: 12.0-14.5 V
The value indicates the power supply to the central electronic module (CEM) when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.

External temperature (C)
Measurement range: -40 till +215 °C
The value indicates the outside temperature when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.

Power supply mode, status
The value indicates the status of the power supply mode when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.

Sensor voltage 5V (V)

The value indicates the supply voltage to the sensors.

Fuel pressure, fuel rail (kPa)

Indicates the fuel pressure in the fuel rail.

Mass air flow, calculated (g/s)

Indicates the Engine control module (ECM) calculated air mass.

Calculated load (g/stroke)
Indicates the Engine control module (ECM) calculated air mass.

Camshaft position, intake (CA).
Indicates the camshaft position on the intake camshaft.

Intake manifold pressure (kPa)
Indicates the pressure in the intake manifold.

Temperature intake (C)
Indicates the temperature of the air in the intake manifold.

Engine coolant temperature (ECT) (C)
Indicates the temperature of the coolant in the engine.

Atmospheric pressure (kPa)
Indicates the ambient atmospheric pressure.
Normal value approximately 101.3 kPa.

Vehicle speed (km/h)
Indicates the vehicle's speed when the diagnostic trouble code was stored.

Engine speed (rpm)
Indicates the engine speed (rpm) when the diagnostic trouble code was stored.

Fuel system, status
Indicates if lambda control is active or not.

Front lambda control fast, bank 1 (%)
Bank 1 covers cylinders 1-3. Fast control means continuous control during operation.

Front lambda control fast, bank 2 (%)
Bank 2 covers cylinders 4-6. Fast control means continuous control during operation.

Front lambda control slow, bank 1 (%)
Bank 1 covers cylinders 1-3. Slow control means control during a longer period that refers to aging and tolerances in components etc.

Front lambda control slow, bank 2 (%)
Bank 2 covers cylinders 4-6. Slow control means control during a longer period that refers to aging and tolerances in components etc.

Ignition advance (CA)
Indicates current ignition angle.

Mass air flow (g/s)
Indicates the mass air flow that passes through the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Throttle position, circuit 1 (%)
Indicates the current position of the throttle.

Time since engine start (s)
Indicates the time that has passed since the engine was started.

Fuel level (via CAN) (%)
Indicates the current fuel level.

ECU power supply (V)
Displays the power supply to the engine control module (ECM).

Load (%)
Indicates the engine's current load.

Throttle position, desired value (%)
Indicates the throttle's desired value.
