Transmission fluid, replacing

Changing transmission fluid





Warning! Avoid skin contact with the transmission fluid.

Remove the splash guard.




Integrated level plug/Torx.




Fit the drain plug once the gearbox is empty.
Use a new gasket lubricated with ATF. Tighten according to applicable specifications.




Fit an integrated level plug (Torx 40) by hand. Reuse the old O-ring.
Base fill the gearbox according to: Transaxle General Specifications. Use fluid according to applicable specifications.
Check the oil level. See: Oil level, checking Checking Oil Level.

Note! When replacing the transmission, the counter for changing transmission fluid must be reset.
