Trunk lid/tailgate lock mechanism

Removal

Removing the lock mechanism
Open the tailgate.





Remove:
- the tailgate panel. See: Tailgate/trunk lid panel Tailgate/Trunk Lid Panel
- the connector for the lock mechanism.

Hint: Press the connector using a screwdriver to disconnect it.

Remove the 3 screws.

Installation

Installing lock mechanism

Install:
- the lock mechanism
- the 3 M8 screws. Tighten
- the connector
- the tailgate's panel, see: Tailgate/trunk lid panel Tailgate/Trunk Lid Panel.
