Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair






Window lift mechanism front side door, replacing

The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removing the lift mechanism from the front side door
The window must be in the half open position.





Remove:
- the panel. See Panel front side door, replacing Service and Repair
- the soundproofing
- the window. See Window front side door, replace Service and Repair.

Hint: Instead of removing the window, press it up into its highest position.

Secure the window using tape.

Note! The mechanism is correctly positioned for removal when the holes in the mechanism and in the arm are opposite each other.




Remove the 4 rivets. See Removing rivet .
Work out the lift mechanism.
Remove the connectors for the lift mechanism motor.

Installing the lift mechanism for the front side door

Install:
- the connector for the lift mechanism motor
- the lift mechanism.





Note! Install 4 new rivets in the numerical order illustrated.

Install:
- the window. See Window front side door, replace Service and Repair
- the soundproofing
- the panel. See Panel front side door, replacing Service and Repair.

Initializing the window position
After replacing the lift mechanism, the window position must be initialized.
Ignition on.
Initialize the window position.
