Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair






Carbon filter container, replacing

Preparation




Open the floor hatch. Remove the storage compartment.
Wind down the spare wheel. Use the crank from the car tool kit.




Pull out the spare wheel. Release the mechanical cable.

Removing the carbon filter container





Remove:
- the hose (1)
- both pipes and quick-release connectors (2).





Remove:
- the screw
- the clamp
- the carbon filter container.

Installing the carbon filter container

Install:
- the carbon filter container
- the clamp
- the screw. Tighten to 10Nm
- the hose
- the pipes and quick-release connector.

Finishing
Install the cable in the spare wheel.
Carefully wind up the wheel.

Note! Guide the wheel to the correct position whilst raising.

Position the storage compartment and close the floor hatch.
