Blower fan motor / power unit, replacing

Preparations
Remove the dashboard. See Dashboard, replacing Dashboard, Replacing.
Detach the climate control unit and member and angle it out. See Climate unit, replacing Climate Unit, Replacing.

Removing the fan motor from the climate control unit





Note! Do not detach the air conditioning (A/C) pipes or the engine coolant hoses.

Remove:
- the drain hoses from the engine and filter housing. Then move the drain hoses out of the way
- the connector.
Remove the 5 screws from the blower fan motor.
Detach and remove the blower fan motor and fan shroud.

Removing the blower fan motor




Remove the connector.
Detach the cover for the blower fan motor.
Remove the 2 screws from the top of the blower fan motor.
Press and pull out the fan motor and fan hub. Use a screwdriver for example.

Removing the power unit





Remove:
- the blower fan motor and the fan hub. See Removing the blower fan motor
- the power unit which is secured with 2 screws.

Installing the power unit
Install the power unit using the 2 screws.

Installing the blower fan motor

Install:
- the blower fan motor and the fan hub. Use the 2 screws
- the cover for the blower fan motor
- the connector for the power unit.

Installing the blower fan motor on the climate control unit

Install:
- the blower fan motor and the cover on the climate control unit using the 5 screws
- the connector
- the drain hose
- the climate control unit. See Climate unit, replacing Climate Unit, Replacing
- the dashboard according to Dashboard, replacing Dashboard, Replacing.
