Panel, B-post, replacing

Panel, B-post, replacing

Remove:
- the front sill trim panel. See The front sill trim panel
- the rear sill trim panel. See The rear sill trim panel
- the end mounting from the front seat seat belt. See Seat belt buckle end mounting , (non-power seats only)
- the end mounting on the front seat seat belt on power seats: Release the catches from underneath.
Move the seat as far forward as possible.
Detach the weatherstrip at the panel: Pull straight to the side.




Pull at the lower section so that the panel comes inwards in the car.
Pull straight downwards, press the steel clips (both sides) and release the section that protrudes inwards at the top.
Pull downwards until the panel releases.
Lift upwards until the panel is free
Thread the seat belt through the panel.

Replacing the B-post ventilation vent
Remove panel at B-post. See B-post, replacing.




Release the fastener.
Press out the vent.

Installation

Install:
In reverse order.
Tighten the seat belt. Tighten to 48 Nm.

Note! When installing the B-post panel: Check that the wiring for the seat belt, tensioner and sensor is tensioned and secured in the correct position. Otherwise the wiring may be damaged when the panel is installed.
