Headlamps, adjusting

Note! The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Caution! Cars equipped with Bi-Xenon lights or halogen lights are adjusted in the same way. To ensure that the position sensor for the Bi-Xenon lights is correctly calibrated it should be calibrated as follows.

Note! After calibrating the position sensors, the ignition must be switched off and on before work to align the headlamps is started.

Preparatory work

Caution! Always adjust the headlight beam according to the legal requirements of the market.

Check the battery voltage.
Check the button that controls the lighting level. Set the button to the 0 position.
Ignition and low beam on.

Note! Always adjust the beam with low beams on.

Setting

Aligning the headlamps




Adjust the beam vertically (Y) by turning the Allen screw. See the illustration.
Adjust the beam horizontally (X) by turning the Allen screw. See the illustration.
