Preparatory work

Remove:
- the battery. See: Battery Removal and Replacement
- the 3 x screws
- the connector under the battery box
- the battery box
- the air filter module. Service and Repair

Installing lifting beams





Install:
- lifting beam: 999 7102 Lifting yoke 999 7102 Lifting Yoke
- the screw. Tighten to 50 Nm.

Installing lifting tools




Install: 999 7103 Lifting beam 999 7103 Lifting Beam and tighten the tool.

Removal

Removing the engine cover





Remove:
- the nuts (1), x4
- the 2 screws (2)
- the screw for the vacuum pump's console (3), 1 pcs.
- the bracket




- the 2 screws
- the plate over the engine pad
- the screw, 1 pc., for the engine pad
- the engine pad.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. Tightening Torque.

Installing the engine pad





Install:
- the engine pad
- the screw (2) for the engine pad. Tighten. See: Tightening torque, B5254T7 Tightening Torque
- the plate over the engine pad
- the bolts, M6, 2 pcs.




- the bracket
- the bolts (2) M8, 3 pcs.
- the screw for the vacuum pump's console (3) M6, 1 pcs.
- the nuts (1), 4 pcs. Tighten. See: Tightening torque, B5254T7 Tightening Torque.

Finishing

Remove:
- lifting tool: 999 7103 Lifting beam 999 7103 Lifting Beam
- the screw
- lifting beam: 999 7102 Lifting yoke 999 7102 Lifting Yoke.

Install:
- the connector under the battery box
- the battery box
- the bolts, M6, 3 pcs.
- the battery. See: Battery Removal and Replacement
- the air filter module. Service and Repair
