Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

Switches lights, replacing

Preparatory work




Ignition off.




Switch off the light switch.
Remove the fuse cover.
Remove the driver's side soundproofing panel. See Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing.

Removal




Unhook the cable for the parking brake release mechanism. See the illustration.
Remove the handle for the parking brake release mechanism.
Remove the screws and the bracket.
Press out the light switch and panel from inside.
Disconnect the connector.

Replacing bulb
Twist counter-clockwise using a small screwdriver to remove the holder and bulb.

Installation

Install:
- Bulb
- Light switch and panel
- The screws and bracket. Tighten
- The handle for the parking brake release mechanism
- The cable.

Finishing work
Install the soundproofing panel on the driver's side. See Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing.
Install the cover on the fuse panel.
Test the function.
