Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair






Temperature sensor evaporator, replacing

As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Included in this method are methods for:
- temperature sensor evaporator left-hand drive (LHD). See replacing
- temperature sensor evaporator right-hand drive (RHD). See replacing.

Temperature sensor evaporator left-hand drive (LHD), replacing

Removing the temperature sensor for the evaporator from left-hand drive cars




Remove the soundproofing panel. See Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing.
Pull off the temperature sensor.
Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
Work the sensor loose.

Installing the temperature sensor for the evaporator in left-hand drive cars
Install the connector on the sensor.
Press the temperature sensor into place.
Install the soundproofing panel. See Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing.

Temperature sensor evaporator right-hand drive (RHD), replacing

Removing the temperature sensor for the evaporator




Remove the climate control unit. See Climate unit, replacing Climate Unit, Replacing.
Pull off the temperature sensor.
Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
Work the sensor loose.

Installing the temperature sensor for the evaporator
Install the connector on the sensor.
Press the temperature sensor into place.
Install the climate control unit. See Climate unit, replacing Climate Unit, Replacing.
