Siren, replacing

Removal

Removing the siren

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.




- Deactivate alarm
- Turn the front wheels to the right
- Drill out the rivets at the front edge of the fender liner. See
- Remove the plastic nuts from the protective panel in the fender liner. Remove the protective panel
- Disconnect the molding and front edge of the fender liner. Move the fender lining and molding out of the way.




- Slacken off the screw for the siren bracket. If a security screw is used to secure the bracket, use nut nippers
- Lift the siren and angle it outwards so that the catches release
- Disconnect the connector.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications [1][2]Specifications.

Installing the siren
- Connect the connector
- Install the siren and bracket
- Install the screw.

Finishing work
Remove any rivet swarf. Rivet the fender liner into place.
Install the splash guard.

Note! The siren must be configured after replacement. This is carried out via VIDA communication.
