Replacing the steering wheel

Removing the steering wheel
Remove the driver's airbag module. See Airbag driver and passenger (SRS), replacing Service and Repair.

Note! Ensure that the steering wheel is horizontal.





Remove:
- the bolt from the home position. Secure the contact reel
- the bolt for the steering wheel - steering column
- the steering wheel.

Hint: Route the connectors through the hole in the steering wheel one by one.

Installing the steering wheel
Route the connectors through the hole in the steering wheel one by one.

Install:
- the steering wheel
- The bolt for the steering wheel - steering column. Use a new bolt. Tighten according to: Tightening torque [1][2]Mechanical Specifications.
Remove the screw from the contact reel. Place the screw in the resting position.
Install the driver's airbag module. See Airbag driver and passenger (SRS), replacing Service and Repair.
