Door mirror, replacing

Replace the motor. See Electric motor.

Removing the door mirror





Remove:
- the cover
- the door panel. See(S80) or Replacing the front door side panel Front Door Side Panel (V70, S60).

Separate the connector

Remove:
- the nut
- the door mirror.

Installing the door mirror

Install:
- the door mirror
- the nut
- the connector
- the door panel. See(S80) or Replacing the front door side panel Front Door Side Panel (V70, S60)
- the cover.

Mirror glass

Removing the mirror glass




Fold the mirror glass inwards as illustrated.
Insert a weatherstrip tool at the inner edge as illustrated. Carefully twist and pry while pulling the outer edge outwards so that the outer catch releases.
Work the glass out.
Disconnect the terminal pins from the mirror glass.

Installing the mirror glass
Install the terminal pins.
Fold out the mirror mounting on the motor.
Ensure that both the guide rails on the mirror are in their grooves.
Hook the mirror glass into the inner mounting.
Press the mirror glass into place.

Removing electric motor





Remove:
- the mirror glass
- the motor, snap free using a screwdriver

Install:
