Private telephone subscription, activation

Conditions for activating the subscription
In order for the customer’s private subscription to be activated, the ESN (Electrical Serial Number) for the new phone module (PHM) must be connected to the customer’s telephone number.
This is carried out as follows
- the customer’s telephone is programmed in the new phone module (PHM)
- the customer contacts the operator to activate the subscription for the new phone module (PHM)
During this call, the customer must specify the ESN for the new phone module (PHM). Read off and note this on behalf of the customer when programming the telephone number.

Program the telephone number and read the ESN
To program the customer’s telephone number and read off the ESN, carry out the following:
1. Key position I
2. Press the ON button if the car phone is switched off (the green LED on the phone module (PHM) should be lit up).
3. Press (9, 8, 7) on the carphone keypad.
4. Press the right arrow button twice. (»). The "Phone ESN" menu option now appears in the display in the driver information module (DIM).
5. Press the YES button. The ESN for the phone now appears in the display and can be noted.
6. Press the No button.
7. Press the right arrow button once. (»). The "KRC" menu option will appear in the display.
8. Press the right arrow button once. (»). The "Phone MIN" menu option will appear in the display.
9. Press the YES button.
10. Erase any existing number by holding in the CLR button until the field is empty.
11. Enter the noted telephone number. Check that the number is correct.
12. Press the YES button.
13. "Save setting?" will appear in the display. Press the YES button again.
14. Press the NO button to return to the phone's start position.
15. Give the noted ESN to the customer. Also notify the customer that he or she must contact the operator to activate the subscription for the new phone module (PHM).
