Preparatory work

Disconnecting the battery lead
Disconnect the battery negative cable. See: Battery Disconnecting

Removal

Removing the side panel




Remove the screw at the front edge of the side panel.
Pull the side panel up to detach it from the seat. First pull up the front edge of the side panel. Then pull up the rear edge of the side panel.




Remove the 1 or 2 connector(s). The number of connectors depends on whether the memory function is present or not.
If the vehicle has power front seats, remove the power seat module (PSM) from the side panel by slackening off the 4 screws.

Installation

Installing the side panel
If the vehicle has power front seats, install the 4 screws for the power seat module (PSM). Tighten.
Install the 1 or 2 connector(s).
Press the side panel into place on the seat.

Install:
- the screw at the front edge of the side panel. Tighten
- the battery negative lead. See: Battery Disconnecting
