Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair






Motor height control headlamp, replacing

Removal

Preparatory work
- Remove the headlamp. See Headlight/bulb, replacing Headlight/Bulb, Replacing Headlight/bulb, replacing Headlight/Bulb, Replacing.

Removing the motor




- Disconnect the connector
- Remove the motor by turning a 1/4 turn clockwise
- Twist the motor downwards along the shaft so that the ball releases from the channel in the reflector. See the illustration.

Installation

Installing the motor




- Twist the adjusting screw on the motor so that the shaft is extended, in order to facilitate installation
- Remove the cover from one of the bulbs
- Pull the reflector backwards
- Apply grease to the ball and place it in the groove as illustrated
- Twist the motor into place
- Connect the connector
- Install the cover.

Finishing work
