Description of Activations
Description of activations
General
A number of the components in the brake system can be activated using VIDA vehicle communication. Because the brake systems can be differently equipped with for example anti spin and stability functions, not all components can necessarily be activated.
Activating all versions
Pump motor
Activating the hydraulic modulator pump motor.
The pump motor should "hum".
Left front inlet valve
Activating left front wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Right front inlet valve
Activating right front wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Left rear inlet valve
Activating left rear wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Right rear inlet valve
Activating right rear wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Left front outlet valve
Activating left front wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Right front outlet valve
Activating right front wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Left rear outlet valve
Activating left rear wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Right rear outlet valve
Activating right rear wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Anti spin function STC (Stability and Traction control) / TRACS (traction control system)
Inlet valve STC (Stability and Traction control) / TRACS (traction control system)
Note! Only STC (Stability and traction control) / TRACS (traction control system).
Activating the STC (Stability and Traction control) or TRACS (traction control system) inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) function
Active yaw control inlet valve
Note! Only DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control).
Activating the active yaw control inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.
Active yaw control outlet valve
Note! Only DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control).
Activating the active yaw control outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the hydraulic modulator
Active yaw control pressure build-up valve
Note! Only DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control).
Activating the active yaw control pressure build-up valve.
A barely audible "clicking sound" from the power brake booster. If the pressure build-up valve is activated while the car is idling, the engine will splutter and the engine speed (RPM) will drop slightly.
