Replacing the remote starter unit

Note! On theV70 and V70XC, the remote starter unit is placed at the rear right.On theS60 and S80the remote starter unit is placed under the parcel shelf.

Removal

Preparation

V70 and V70XC




Remove the side panel on right-hand side.

S60 and S80




Remove the parcel shelf. See Parcel shelf, replacing Parcel Shelf, Replacing.

Removing the remote starter unit

V70 and V70XC




Remove the remote starter unit by pulling it off the Velcro strips.
Disconnect the connector.
Replace the remote starter unit.

S60 and S80




Remove the remote starter unit by pulling it off the Velcro strips.
Disconnect the connector.
Replace the remote starter unit.

Installation

Installing the remote starter unit




Clean the reverse of the remote starter unit. Use a wet wipe and allow to dry.
Remove the masking tape.
Press the two Velcro strips on the underneath of the remote starter unit on to the strips on the body or parcel shelf.
Connect the connector.
Install the remote starter unit.

Installing the side panel or parcel shelf

V70 and V70XC




Install side panel.

S60 and S80




Install the parcel shelf. See Parcel shelf, replacing Parcel Shelf, Replacing.
