Special tools:
999 5069 EXTRACTOR 999 5069 Extractor
999 5117 PUNCH 999 5117 Punch

Removal

Torque converter
Pull the torque converter straight out of the transmission.
Check the torque converter throat for damage.

Sealing ring, oil pump-torque converter




Use extractor 999 5069 EXTRACTOR 999 5069 Extractor.

Installation

New sealing ring




Use drift 999 5117 PUNCH 999 5117 Punch.

Note! Drift 9995117 modified according to Workshop Guide.

Torque converter




Lubricate the torque converter throat with ATF-oil.

Note! Take care not to damage the oil pump during installation.

Make sure that the torque converter is as far into the transmission as possible. Check with a ruler. The distance between the cover and retaining tabs should be approximately 14 mm .
