Replacing outside temperature sensor and glow plugs

Removing

Preparations
Move heater to service position according to Moving the heater to its service position Moving the Heater To Its Service Position , when replacing glow plugs and early versions of outside temperature sensor.

Removing components





Outside temperature sensor:

Remove:
- outside temperature sensor connector.
- outside temperature sensor from mounting.

Glow plug:

Remove:
- glow plug electrical terminal.
- glow plug.

Installing

Installing components

Outside temperature sensor:

Reinstall outside temperature sensor in mounting.
Reconnect outside temperature sensor connector.





Glow plug:
Screw glow plug in, tighten to 15 Nm .
Reconnect glow plug electrical terminal
Reinstall heater according to Moving the heater to its service position Moving the Heater To Its Service Position.
Check so that no DTCs are stored during the repair.
