Replacing Backrest Upholstery

REPLACING BACKREST UPHOLSTERY

Remove:
- seat from the car. Replacing Seat Assembly

- backrest from seat cushion (3 screws on each side of seat).




- Backrest rake adjustment wheel (2). Pull oft.

- Lumbar support adjustment wheel (1). Screw anti- clockwise until the wheel stops. Then continue to screw anti-clockwise and at the same time pull out forcefully (is not on newer models).




- clamps (use cutting nippers) on the outside and on the inside between the upholstery and padding.

Remove upholstery


Install in reverse order.

Start securing clamps in the middle of the backrest between the upholstery and padding.

Use special pliers P/N 1158962-9 to secure the clamps.

Reinstall seat in car. Replacing Seat Assembly
