Replacing Seat Assembly

REPLACING SEAT ASSEMBLY





Secure mechanical seat belt tensioner (if there is one). Secure/Unsecure Seat Belt Tensioner

Secure SIPS bag (if there is one). Secure/Unsecure the SIPS Airbag


Remove:

- head restraint.

- side compartment (A). Lift up front edge and press backward.

- seat belt from seat mounting (bolt on outside of seat).

- panel (B) over front edge of seat rail.

- 4 mounting bolts (C) in the seat rails.

- heater pad connector (if there is one) under the seat cushion.

Lift seat straight up (locating pins in front and rear edges).


Install: In reverse order.

Install all four screws loosely.

Tighten:

- front inner screw.

- front outer screw.

- rear inner screw.

- rear outer screw.


Unsecure seat belt tensioner (if there is one). Secure/Unsecure Seat Belt Tensioner

Unsecure SIPS bag (if there is one). Secure/Unsecure the SIPS Airbag


Tightening torques:
Seats/floor: 40 Nm (29.5 ft lb).
Seat belt: 20 Nm (14.8 ft lb).
