Spray Jet Telescoping Cylinder






Spray Jet Telescoping Cylinder

Removing and installing the spray jet telescopic cylinder on the right side of the vehicle is shown in the following illustrations. Removing and installing the spray jet telescopic cylinder on the left side of the vehicle is identical.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the front bumper cover.

- Pull the spray nozzle out of the bumper cover all the way and remove the cap - 1 - from the pins on the spray nozzle holder.






- Remove both screws - 1 -.






- Disconnect the hose connection - arrow -. Then remove the hose - 1 - and let any washer fluid drain out.






- Press the tab - 1 - with a screwdriver to unlock it and remove the telescopic cylinder.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

If the hose between both lift cylinders is being replaced, be sure it is clipped securely into the hose brackets on the bumper cover.

- Tighten the bolts for the telescopic cylinder on the bumper cover to 2 Nm.

- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Procedures.
