Torque Converter Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Extractor Lever (VW 681)

• Thrust Piece (3295)

Removing

- Insert the extractor lever (VW 681) directly behind the sealing lip of the seal, so that the contact ring which is behind it is not damaged.

Installing

- Lubricate the outer circumference and the sealing lip of the oil seal with transmission fluid.

Installed Position:

The open side of the seal faces the transmission.

- Install the torque converter seal to the stop using the thrust piece (3295).
