Compressor, without Adaptive Suspension Valve Block

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Vehicle Diagnostic Tester (VAS 5051B)

Removing

- Bleed the accumulator using the (VAS 5051B).

- Activate the vehicle lift mode and place the vehicle on the lifting platform. Refer to => [ Vehicle Lift Mode ] Description and Operation.

- Remove the right underbody trim.

- Remove the clamp - arrow - and disconnect the intake line - 1 -.






- Disconnect the harness connector - 1 - and - 2 - between the compressor and body.






- Remove the air lines - 1 - and - 2 - from the compressor.






- Remove the cable ties - arrows -.






- Remove the nuts - 1 - for the compressor.

- Unscrew the bolts - arrows - and tilt the compressor and bracket - 1 - down and secure.






- Lower the compressor and bracket at the front until the compressor can be removed.

Make absolutely sure that the adaptive suspension valve block (NX7) is moved from the underbody as little as possible.

Furthermore, the air lines must not be kinked or stretched under any circumstance

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Fill the accumulator using the (VAS 5051B). Refer to => [ Accumulator, Filling ] Procedures.
