Upper Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Assembly Tool (3301)
• Thrust Plate (VW 401)
• Punch (VW 412)
• Sleeve (VW 426)
• Assembly Tool (T10219)
Pressing Off
- Remove the upper control arm, vehicles with a steel spring shock absorber. Refer to => [ Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with a Steel Spring Shock Absorber ] Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with a Steel Spring Shock Absorber.
- Remove the upper control arm, vehicles with air spring shock absorber. Refer to => [ Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber ] Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber.
- Mark the position of the bonded rubber bushing on the basis of the slot - arrow - with respect to the upper control arm.
- Press out bonded rubber bushing.

Pressing In
- Apply installation lubricant (G 294 421 A1) onto outside of bonded rubber bushing.
- Press in the bonded rubber mount.

4. Tube (T10219/1) with the cutout upward toward the control arm.
5. (VW 401)
- Continue to press the inner core of the bonded rubber mount until the bead - arrow - slips out of the control arm.

4. (T10219/1) with the cutout upward toward the control arm.

- Install the upper control arm, vehicles with a steel spring shock absorber. Refer to => [ Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with a Steel Spring Shock Absorber ] Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with a Steel Spring Shock Absorber.
- Install the upper control arm, vehicles with an air spring shock absorber. Refer to => [ Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber ] Upper Control Arm, Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber.
