Removing
Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag or cable ties, before they become coated with AdBlue(R). The electrical connectors could be damaged because the AdBlue(R) has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes as it dries.
- First, press the clip on the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) injector wiring connection in the - direction of arrow 1 - as illustrated and then remove the delivery line - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow 2 - without using tools and without pulling sharply.
- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) injector.
Seal all openings on the line and the connections immediately with plugs to prevent contaminants from entering. Even tiny particles can cause serious damage to the system.
- Open the clamp - 3 - and remove the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) injector from the exhaust system.
Installing
- Position the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) injector with a new seal on the rear exhaust pipe with catalytic converter and make sure the tabs are positioned correctly (electric connector faces up).
- Lay a new clamp over the connection and press it together until it locks. This secures the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) injector.
- Position the bolt and tighten it to the specification see - item 3 - in the => [ AdBlue(R) Delivery Line Overview ] Service and Repair.
- Connect the connector and the delivery line.
