Exhaust System, Aligning

Align the exhaust system when cold.

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Muffler and Mounts Overview ] Service and Repair.

- Loosen the nuts on the front clamping sleeves.

- If present, loosed the nuts on the rear clamping sleeves.

- Push the exhaust system forward - arrow - until the following tensions are adjusted on the individual retaining loops:






Right front retaining loop: Dimension - a - = 2 mm.

Left front retaining loop: Dimension - a - = 4 mm.






Left and right rear retaining loops: Dimension - a - = 10 mm.






- Hold the exhaust system in this position and tighten the clamping sleeve nuts evenly.

A 2nd technician is needed to align the exhaust system with clamping sleeves between the center and rear mufflers.

If all adjustment dimensions are not achieved, remove the affected suspended mount from body and shift accordingly.

- Align the tail pipes. Refer to => [ Attach the tail pipe to the rear muffler and align it. ] Exhaust Tailpipe, Replacing.
