Right Exhaust Manifold

Removing

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining ] Coolant, Draining.

- Remove the differential ventilation hose - 1 - from the upper air filter housing.






- Disconnect the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector - 3 -.

- Disconnect intake hose - 4 - from the turbocharger.

- Release clips - 2 - and remove the upper air filter housing.

- Remove the connector - arrow - from the bracket and disconnect it.






- Remove the connector bracket from the cylinder head cover.

- Remove the coolant hose - arrow - from the coolant expansion tank.






- Remove the bolts - 2 and 3 -.






- Loosen the clamp - 1 - and remove the charge air pipe from the charge air hose forward.

- Remove the bolts/nuts - 1 through 8 - and the exhaust manifold.






Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Replace gaskets and self-locking nuts.

• Hose connections and charge air system hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Filling ] Coolant, Filling.

Tightening Specifications






• 1 Replace the bolts/nuts.

• 2 Coat with hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog.
