Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Fan Shroud

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the intake air duct cover - 1 - and duct - 2 - from the air filter housing. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing Overview ] Air Filter Housing Overview.






- Remove the upper bolts - upper arrows - from the fan shroud.






- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the coolant hose from the fan shroud.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove the fan shroud lower bolts - lower arrows -.






- Remove the fan shroud and fans downward.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - and free up the wires.






- Remove the nuts - arrows - and the coolant fans.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
