Removing

• Place a clean cloth under the torque converter to catch the leaking Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

- Remove the torque converter forward from the transmission and lay it on a soft surface with the opening facing upward.

Installing

- Press the torque converter hub through the seal as far as the first stop.

- Turn the torque converter toward the transmission using light force until the cut outs in the torque converter hub - arrow - lock into the pump wheel plate. The torque converter slides in.






The torque converter is installed correctly if it is easy to turn is by hand and if it fits evenly in the transmission.

If the engine and transmission are connected with force when the torque converter is installed incorrectly, damage to the transmission and torque converter results.
