Rear Bass Speaker







Rear Bass Speaker

The following illustrations and procedures describe removing and installing the left rear bass speaker (R15).

Removing and installing the right rear bass speaker (R17) is identical.

Removing

Perform the following before starting:

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the door trim panel.

- Unlock the connector from the speaker in - direction of arrow - and then remove it - 1 -.






- Drill out the rivets - 1 - and remove the speaker.






Always remove any shavings resulting from the drilling, otherwise they may cause corrosion damage later.

If paint on door frame is damaged during drilling, touch-up immediately.

Installing

Use special blind rivets to install the speaker (note the part number!).

- Install the speaker in - direction of arrow - with 4 rivets - 1 -.






- Connect the connector to the speaker.

Install in reverse order of removal.
