Rear Bass Speaker

• The following illustrations and procedures describe removing and installing the left rear bass speaker (R15).

• Removing and installing the right rear bass speaker (R17) is identical.

Removing

Perform the following before starting:

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the door trim panel.

- Unlock the connector from the speaker in - direction of arrow - and then remove it - 1 -.






- Drill out the rivets - 1 - and remove the speaker.






Always remove any shavings resulting from the drilling, otherwise they may cause corrosion damage later.

If paint on door frame is damaged during drilling, touch-up immediately.

Installing

• Use special blind rivets to install the speaker (note the part number!).

- Install the speaker in - direction of arrow - with 4 rivets - 1 -.






- Connect the connector to the speaker.

Install in reverse order of removal.
