Headlamp Washer Spray Nozzle Lift Cylinder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

• Removing and installing the left spray nozzle lift cylinder is shown in the following illustrations.

• Removing and installing the right spray nozzle is identical.

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Pull the spray nozzles and the cover cap - 1 - off up the stop and out of the bumper cover.






- Remove the cap - 1 - from the mountings - arrows - on the spray nozzle holder.

- Remove the front bumper cover.

- Press the clip and remove the hose - 3 - from the telescopic cylinder.






- Remove the bolts - 1 -.

- Remove the telescopic cylinder - 2 - from the bumper cover.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the bolts to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System Overview ] Headlamp Washer System Overview.

- Bleed the headlamp washer system after finishing assembly. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Procedures.
