Reducing Agent (AdBlue(R)) Delivery Line

• The "NOx reducing agent AUS 32" (AdBlue(R)) is simply called reducing agent in the following information.

• The reducing agent can irritate skin, eyes and the respiratory system.

• If the fluid comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water.

• If necessary, consult a physician.

Removing

- Remove the left underbody panel by first removing the nuts - arrows -.






- Release the retainer - arrow - and open the delivery line clips.






Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag or cable ties, before they become coated with reducing agent. The connectors could be damaged because the reducing agent has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes.

Make sure the reducing agent does not come into contact with clothing or the vehicle body.

If this occurs, wash immediately with clean water and then dry with a lint-free cotton cloth.

If the reducing agent has already crystallized, use warm water and a sponge.

Reducing agent that is not removed will crystallize and can damage the affected surface.

- Release the connector - 2 -, remove and unclip it from the bracket.






- In order to perform the following, disconnect the delivery line - 1 -.

- Press the wire connection circlip - 1 - together in the - direction of the arrow 1 - as shown and disconnect the delivery line in the - direction of the arrow 2 - without using special tools and without pulling too sharply.






Seal openings on the line and the connections immediately with plugs to prevent contaminants from entering. Even tiny particles can cause serious damage to the system.

- Release the circlip - 3 - in the - direction of the arrow 1 - on the reducing agent injector.






- Remove the coupling in the - direction of arrow 2 - without special tools and without sharply pulling on it.

- Carefully free up the delivery line and loosen and remove it from the remaining clips.

Installing

The delivery line is preformed and equipped with a heating element that covers the entire length of it. Do not bend, twist or stretch the line. Otherwise the heating element and the delivery line will get damaged.

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following.

- If equipped, remove the plugs and connect the delivery line to the reducing agent injector.

- Press the delivery line into the clips, working from front to rear.

- Close the clips.

- Connect the wires - 3 - above the rear subframe.






- Connect the delivery line - 1 - as well as the delivery line connector - 2 -.

- Fasten the wires in the bracket to the body.

- Install the driver side underbody panel.
