Rear Treble Speaker

The right rear treble speaker (R14) / left rear treble speaker (R16) are at the back of the door trim panels.

The treble speaker and interior door mechanism are a single component.

The left rear interior locking switch (E273) / right rear interior locking switch (E274) are installed inside the interior door mechanisms.

• The following illustrations and procedures describe removing and installing the left rear treble speaker.

• Removing and installing the right rear treble speaker is identical.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the rear door trim panel.






- Remove the screws - 1 -.

- Remove the interior door mechanism and left rear treble speaker - 3 - from the door trim panel.

- Remove the left rear interior locking switch (E273) - 2 -, if necessary.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the left rear treble speaker screws to the tightening specification ( 2 Nm).
