Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

Transmission Fluid, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

• Triple Square Socket Driver (3357)

• Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

For the correct transmission fluid, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Place the used oil collecting and extracting device (V.A.G 1782) under the transmission.

- Remove the plug - arrow -.






The fluid level is correct when the fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the plug hole.

- Reinstall the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - to specification. Refer to => [ Different Versions of the Oil Fill and Drain Plugs ].

Note the following when filling for the first time:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Add transmission fluid until it reaches the lower edge of the hole.

- Reinstall the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - to specification. Refer to => [ Different Versions of the Oil Fill and Drain Plugs ].

- Install the noise insulation.
