Hydraulic Hose: Service and Repair






Clutch Hose/Line Assembly or Pipe

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Removing

- Remove the entire air filter housing.

While performing the following procedure, make sure no brake fluid comes into contact with the longitudinal member or the transmission. If it does, clean the area thoroughly.

- Clamp off the supply hose to the master cylinder using a hose clamp up to 25 mm dia. (3094).






Remove the hose/line assembly or pipe from the clutch master cylinder as follows:

- Pull the clip - 3 - out with a screwdriver or pointed tool and remove the hose/line - 1 - or pipe and O-ring - 2 -.







Do not press the clutch pedal after removing the hose/line or pipe.

Remove the hose/line or pipe from the breather assembly as follows:

- Pull up the clip - 2 - with a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the hose/line - 4 - or pipe with the O-ring - 3 - from the breather assembly - 1 -.






Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Press in the hose/line or pipe - 1 - with the O-ring - 2 - into the clutch master cylinder connection - 4 - until the clip - 3 - engages.






- Pull on the hose/line or pipe to make sure it is secure.

- Press the hose/line or pipe with O-ring - 3 - into the breather connection until the clip engages.






- Pull on the hose/line or pipe to make sure it is secure.

- After removing the hose clamp up to 25 mm dia. (3094) , bring the supply hose back to its original shape.

- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to => [ Clutch System, Bleeding ] Procedures.

- Install the entire air filter housing.
