Control Arm Rear Bonded Rubber Bushing






Control Arm Rear Bonded Rubber Bushing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Sleeve (2039)

Installation device (3372)

Thrust plate (VW 401)

Punch (VW 407)

Punch (VW 412)

Assembly tool (T10230)

Thrust piece (T10453)

Perform the Following Work:

- Remove the control arm. Refer to => [ Control Arm ] Control Arm.

- Remove the control arm (left side of the vehicle with DSG or automatic transmission). Refer to => [ Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission ] Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission.

Pressing Out the Bonded Rubber Bushing

- Press out bonded rubber bushings as depicted in the illustration.






1. (VW 407)

2. Thrust piece (T10230/8)

3. Control arm - the opening in the control arm must face upward.

Installation Position for Rear Bushing in Control Arm






One of the stamped arrows points between the markings - arrows A - in the control arm.

The cam - arrow B - must always point to the outside of the vehicle.

Pressing In the Bonded Rubber Bushing

- Install the bonded rubber bushing as illustrated.

2. (T10453) - the - A - on the thrust piece must face the markings - arrows - on the control arm.

3. Bonded rubber mount

4. Control arm - the opening in the control arm must face down.

Install the bonded rubber bushing far enough until the (T10453) contacts the control arm.

- Install the control arm. Refer to => [ Installing ] Control Arm.

- Install the control arm (left side of the vehicle with DSG or automatic transmission). Refer to => [ Installing ] Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission.
